Attitude: a settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something, typically one that is reflected in a person's behavior.

Synonyms: Viewpoint, outlook, standpoint, perspective, inclination, 

Bad Example: While an adult is talking to you, you are paying attention to something else, ignoring them, and talking back.

Good Example: When the counselor calls you in to talk to you, you pay attention, you talk with him or her politely, and you  should never be rude.

I feel that this quote means it if you hang around with good people you will live happily and proud about yourself, although if you hang around with bad people you will end up with bad results and consequences. For example if hang out with people that smoke weed you will begin to smoke weed and mess up your own human body.

Education:

Although there are no formal educational requirements to become a dental or ophthalmic laboratory technician or medical appliance technician, most technicians have at least a high school diploma. I feel that this quote means is that the outcome of something always depends on ones attitude and personality. If you have a poor attitude you will have a poor outcome.
