Medical illustrators are highly skilled artists. They work strictly in the medical field and create pictures for textbooks, journals, magazines, and educational films. Their drawings span a wide range from microorganisms to body parts.

Medical assistant’s help physicians take care of patients.   They schedule appointments; take blood pressures, temperatures; and perform other routine patient examining procedures. Medical assistants work in hospitals, clinics, and private physician offices.

Education:

Students should finish high school with courses in biology, physical science, office management, communications, and human relations, although medical assistant training programs may accept GED certificates. Medical assistant training programs are provided by community colleges and for-profit technical training schools.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Duties and Responsibilities:

LPN’s work under the direction of nurses and physicians. They take care of injured, handicapped, and those who are sick. They take care of patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and extended care facilities. Some of them work in private homes.

Average Salary: $16,000-$23,000

Education:

For some LPN’s are not always required to have a GED. LPN’s do not always get a professional education. Although some approved training programs are offered to them.
